World of Warcraft Addons
I get a lot of questions when it comes to what addons I use on my various characters in the World of Warcraft when it comes to my user interface. So, I’ve decided to setup this page to give reference to those addons that I use, how they’re used, and why I use them. Who knows, maybe it will help people figure out of it they would like to use in their User Interface. Ok, enough with the dribble, on with the details!
CT_Mod Every good building needs a solid foundation, and I found mine in the addon package known as CT_Mod. It’s stable, solid, and does everything I want it to do without the extras I didn’t need that are included in other packages. Additionally, many of the other addons I use play well with CT_Mod as opposed to other popular packages, hence the choice in remaining with this set.
Download Options (Custom):
-CombatStats
+CT_AllBags
+CT_MovableParty
+CT_RaidAssit
+CT_RaidTracker
+CT_ShieldMod
Titan Panel The only toolbar addition that I’ve found very useful in the game thus far, Titan Panel gives me all the information I could ever need, right at a quick glance. Not only that, but it’s expandable by other developers, so I can get additional addons which give me other information all within my precious Titan Panel, something I’m very very glad to see.
Additional Addons used to expand Titan Panel:
ClassTracker - Keeps track of reagent counts.
Durability - Monitors the durability of all of my equipment.
Mail - Notifies me of new mail arrival, and how many I have in my inbox.
ModMenu - Provides a menu to configure many different mods.
PetXP - Keeps track of how close my hunters pet is to level.
Recap - Displays the information from the Recap addon to my Titan Panel.
XPStatus - Gives the XP TNL information in a easier format than the builtin version.
Atlas A MUST have addon for every World of Warcraft player. This addon gives maps to the dungeons around the world, and keeps groups on track headed towards their intended goals. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used this addon when getting turned around in some instance (say… BRD?), and it’s come thru to save the day. Amazing tool, and if nothing else, I recommend this to everyone.
Gatherer If you’re like me, then you’ve got atleast a couple characters out there who gather materials for their trade skills. And you probably have gone out on gathering runs, in the hopes of aquireing more raw materials to make your trades. Well look no further for an addon to make that chore easier. Gatherer keeps track of every single location you’ve ever collected anything, and stores it for your use later on! That’s right, now you can go back and find that rich thorium vein that you knew you saw once, and harvest it again and again. Trust me folks, this one is definately worth it.
Auctioneer Complete While indeed, it’s probably the second most memory intensive addons I use within the World of Warcraft, it’s also one of the most invalueable addons I’ve ever come across. Bundling the features of Auctioneer, Enchantrix, and Informant, this “super addon” allows you to keep track of the going rates of darn near ANY item out there, and if nothing else, know what it melts into so that you can see if the supplies might sell for more than the item itself. I must admit, it’s handy, so check it out!
Discord Unit Frames Best… Unit… Frame… EVER. That about sum it up for you? No? Fine… Discord’s Unit Frames are a thing of pure beauty. They allow me to completely customize how “I” want my unit frames to look, not how someone else wants them to look. There are soooo many mods that could be so much better if they learned that basic fact. A must have in my opinion, get it now.
And there you have it, the addons I recommend. Check em out, you never know what you may find that you like.
