So it’s gotten pretty damn cold here pretty quick! Like, really cold… we should start seeing below freezing here shortly, and if you ask me I’d bet we’re heading towards a white Halloween. It’s even taking a while to warm up thru the days, and at night it’s just down right frigid for this early in the year. Either way, it’s had me considering adding an electric blanket to my christmas list that my grandmother seems to take pride in asking me for this time of year.

That said, I’m hoping it doesn’t start freezing the ground soon, cause I’d like to actually get a couple things moved around before the big deep freeze. After years up here, it still surprises me how much longer it seems to take to get things done thru the winter months. And I was honestly not expecting this near this quickly, so time to beat feet.

Otherwise, I’m alright, calm quiet days have given me a chance for reflection, to continue the process that has been the slogan for this website for years now. To Rediscover myself, one post at a time. That in of itself is more a help than I could have potentially thought. I’m almost where I need to be, and that’s got me feeling pretty darn good.

Well, I’d write more, but I’ve got a couple other projects that need to get done, so I’m gonna get to them! More soonish!

You know, quiet days are something to be truly cherished. And the more of them I have, the more I seem to realize that there is a whole generation behind me that seems to not understand the power and joy of simply having one. I sat down, drank quite a bit of tea, watched the weather move around, and worked on a few projects for myself and others. Wasn’t exactly planning on doing it, but it would appear that I’ve inherited yet another of my grandfathers traits. I appear to be allergic to the elastic commonly used in socks. My leg was swollen, and I’ve broken out… not exactly a comfortable experience.

I spent a little bit of time researching solutions to this matter, and among others found a solution in the oddest of places. Seems there are special diabetic socks, and said socks have no constricting band at the top, and hence, no elastic at all in them. Example: Diastar Comfy Feet Diabetic Socks, 3-pack. So yea, I guess as much as we joke about getting socks for christmas as kids, they’re gonna be on my wish list this year. Grandma’s gonna love hearing this one…

Speaking of, the weather here in Idaho is starting down the path of “lets get cold at night”. Which means that fall and winter aren’t far around the corner, and my personal favorite type of weather is coming quick. Lets just hope we don’t have another record breaking snow fall year.

Welp, more soonish.
