It was actually technology that prompted me to effectively practice Earth Hour while I'm away at work. The local energy monopoly, SDG&E, installed Smart Meters throughout the city and partnered with Google to make use of Google's PowerMeter. A few days after enrolling I started to habitually monitor my power usage at work and plot ways to reduce my "always on" energy usage. This led to unplugging everything but the oven and fridge each morning. Google has informed me I'm now more efficient than 89% of other apartment dwellers. The $19 electric bill is nice too.

I used to go down to the local Wizards of the Coast practically every day after school and own all the employees at Quake II. On a completely unrelated note, in the "About Jamie" section, the tails on the lowercase g's, y's, and p's are getting cut off. Repros in Firefox 3.6, but not IE9.

lol, invite sent! Life in idaho is… slow, very slow. But hey, could be worse yea? I’ve got a temp job up here atm, but i’ve been looking for something more perminate where I can leave my mark. Heck, I even drove over to Silverdale a couple months back for the big PSNS job faire. Who knows, maybe it’ll pan out into something. We’re actually having record low snowfall right now, it’s kinda amazing. After the last 2 years getting 36+ inches in less than 24 hours, I gotta admit it’s a breath of fresh air.

Good to hear from ya, and glad to see you back stateside! though man, I can imagine that was one hell of an experience from what I read on your various sites!
